Ingredients

  • 1 can 29 oz peaches drained Reserve a little syrup if desired
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup 1 stick butter 115 grams Sliced or melted
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon Optional
  • A pinch of nutmeg Optional

Instructions

  • The first thing I want you to do is to preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C), allowing it to warm up to the perfect baking temperature.
  • Carefully arrange the drained peaches in a smooth, even layer at the bottom of your dish, creating a perfect foundation for the rest of the ingredients.
  • Evenly sprinkle the cake mix over the peaches, remember to not stir, just on the top.
  • If you'd like, you can drizzle a little of the reserved syrup over the peaches for an extra touch of sweetness!
  • Place small pats of butter evenly across the top of the cake mix or simply drizzle the melted butter over the whole surface for a smooth, even coating.
  • If you'd like, sprinkle in a little cinnamon or nutmeg for an extra flavor!
  • Pop it in the oven for 35 minutes, or until the top turns a golden brown and the peach filling starts to bubble up.
  • Take it out of the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes to cool slightly before serving.
  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream, and here you go, quick and delicious treat!

Notes

  • For a brighter, more natural flavor, swap canned peaches for fresh or frozen ones, your dish will have an extra burst of sweetness and a more vibrant texture!
  • To make this cobbler gluten-free, use a gluten-free cake mix.
  • For added crunch, sprinkle sugar or oats on top of the cake mix before baking.
  • Keep any leftovers in the fridge, where they’ll stay fresh for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for a crisp topping or microwave for a softer texture.
