Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup whole milk
  • tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • A pinch of salt ⅛ tsp
  • 5 Oreos

Instructions

  • Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, sugar, and salt in your mug. Stir everything until the mixture is smooth.
  • Stir in the milk, oil, and vanilla extract, mixing until you achieve a lump-free batter. Take your time to get it just right so it bakes perfectly.
  • Break the Oreos into pieces and gently fold them into the batter. You can make them big or small.
  • Put the mug cake in the microwave and cook for 60 to 90 seconds. Watch it rise and puff up, but don't let it cook too long. The cake should be soft and moist.
  • Once it’s ready, let it cool for a minute or so before topping it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or extra Oreo pieces. Enjoy your delicious, cozy treat!

Notes

  • For fluffier results, use room temperature milk and oil, they mix better!
  • Add a splash of coffee to deepen the chocolate flavor for an extra rich taste.
  • Watch the microwave closely, too much time will dry out the cake, so stop when it’s just puffy and soft.
